High school sweethearts, these two have been together forever, and finally decided to tie the knot and make it official! Both super laid back and fun – it was no surprise that they decided to get married at the really chill Postcard Inn in Saint Petersburg.
When I first met this cute couple for their engagement session, I was so impressed by how at ease they were. This beautiful bride-to-be was rockin’ her cut-off shorts and tee shirt – and I just loved that uber-casual look at the beautiful Ballast Point Park. We had such a great time.
The wedding was early in the afternoon, which made doing photographs on the beach a no-go; the sun was just too bright and high in the sky. However, we found the perfect spot under some trees in the middle of the Postcard Inn’s property. I set up the groom for the first look under the romantic tree canopy, while his beautiful bride tiptoed behind him and surprised him. So cute!
We did some more portraits under the trees and around the property, as the sun began to drop lower in the sky. The pink wedding color really popped against the blue rooms of the Postcard Inn. Boy – did I just love the bouquet too! OMG – I just love those succulents!
The wedding ceremony took place beautiful courtyard of the hotel property. Simple, no-frills – a quick ceremony with tons of joy, jokes and happiness was just perfect for these guys.
After the ceremony – it was time for more portraits around the grounds of the Postcard Inn. Then, onto the reception in the tiki hut beside the beach. Hilarious toasts by the bride’s father, her brother, the grooms friend – I just love couples surrounded by friends and family with a sense of humor!
Dancing was out of control – and it was a first for me to hear Snoop Dogg’s Gin & Juice cover by the Gourds at a wedding. Everyone was singling along, and I was cracking up!
I feel so grateful that I had the opportunity to share in this sweet couple’s wedding happiness. Their love and commitment to one another is so clear. Congratulations!
