A Tampa wedding photographer, who also drives to surrounding areas like St Petersburg, I always get excited to make the short drive across the bridge to the Sunken Gardens located there. I just LOVE the mature landscaping, and the variety of locations for portraits. The Birchwood hotel in St Pete is also always a lovely getting ready destination, as its rooms are so pretty and have good natural light.
I really enjoyed getting to know these two lovebirds during their passionate and fun Saint Petersburg engagement session. Their wedding day was likewise filled with emotion, and also carefully crafted with the bride’s personal touch. From the signs to the succulent place cards, the desert table, and the gold place settings – it was an elegant day with a laid-back vibe. The salsa music and dancing were a shout out to the bride’s heritage…and the red/white/and green florals + deserts (gelato anyone!?!) a nod to the groom’s Italian heritage. And, yes, they did offer me some gelato, and I did eat some – thank-you-very-much.
